Biography
University of Brighton, Editorial Photography (BA) 2002-2005. First Class Honours.
Barnard - Lisa, b England 1967. Lives in Lewes, England. Works in London and Abroad. Completed a BA in Editorial Photography with First Class Honors in June 2005 at Brighton University. Her work is informed by member’s -both past and present- of The Institute of Psychoanalysis, London. Of particular interest are those practitioners who have explored psychoanalytic aesthetics. She has recently concluded a year long Photographic Residency at the Unicorn Theatre for Children. She continues to work on her own artistic practice, which is connected to both the fine art and editorial genres. Her work has been reviewed in the Telegraph and Observer. She receives regular photographic commissions, including portraiture, advertising,editorial and educational projects. She is a visiting lecturer at Brighton University on the BA Photography course. 2006- present day.
Education Projects
Lisa has experience in producing lesson plans in an educational environment and has involved and inspired teachers from both Primary and Secondary education institutions. Evaluation documentation and comments are available to see on request.

Workshops leading towards an exhibition funded by Aldgate and Allhallows with the Unicorn theatre Education department for young people in Tower Hamlets, with Drama a practitioner and a film-maker. Schools involved were; St Pauls Way Secondary School, Central Foundation School and the Harpley Pupil Referral Unit, Tower Hamlets, London.

On permanent display at the Unicorn Theatre are Holograms of the Children’s Laureates: Quentin Blake, Anne Fine, Michael Morpurgo and Jacqueline Wilson. Michael Rosen, the new Laureate, will be completed over the next year.

Lisa's new project called Virtual Iraq will be previewed on October 17th as part of the Brighton Photo Biennial Fringe. The multimedia exhibition is sponsored by Standard8 and the Arts Council and can be read about in Issue 11 of the Photoworks magazine.
